Just wonderful, the spot-lighted garden-peaish yellow-green, the only very green being the one iris and a couple streaks above that. The light-greenish tan of her right iris doesn't appear elsewhere, I think, nor does it appear elsewhere, except maybe part of the lips. I tend to mention little details such as these in my comments because I believe that they are important in their contribution to the feeling and mood of a painting without a viewer being aware of that. I also think that what may seem small and without conscious intention is a productive one of the numerous ways that Natalie Holland builds up the total, most always complex, effect of a painting.
