"Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity." ~ Carl Jung
'I don't conform to any style or genre. I'm free as a bird and fly where I please. My creativity would suffer, if I only flew in one direction. Free, free, free is my motto.' ~ Natalie Holland. Great expression in the eyes and marvellous colours!

What an aura! And what a strong nose. and the eyes, and the mouth and chin! Oh, yeah, and the angle of the head. Then, the overall expression and how well her red-blotchy face fits into (so literally "INTO!") the red and copper (or rusty?) background, part of which seems to be swirling, as with vertigo? Other than these aspects, the painting does not have much going for it! Try again, soon, Natalie.

I can feel the sadness in this, Natalie. Excellent work!
